The Devil's Only Friend by Dan Wells (John Cleaver # 4) 6/10

The book starts out with the protagonist suddenly a part of a team of FBI agents. How did he meet this team, and how did it form? We have no time for relevant details like this. On with the plot. Ultimately though these questions don't really matter because a chunk of them are dead by the middle, and *obvious spoiler alert* they're expendable so they all die. The villain could have been really neat (King of the demons), but he's just as expendable. Ultimately not much of this book was that relevant. I still want to see what happens at the end of the series, but this one I was actually disappointed by. It's okay, and if you liked the other ones read it, but going in know that it's not the best of the series.
